Laguna Beach Family Photography :: The Tran Family

Earlier this summer I got to meet the Tran Family. It was fun to work with kids that can walk and talk. Erika and Colin are the sweetest kids and full of personality. Leanne wanted the photos at the beach so we headed to Laguna.

I love when the parents want couple photos. Seeing a couple so in love after being married for many years is inspiring!

I have been such a horrible blogger the last few months but I’m hoping to get caught up this summer! I have so many funs shoots and beautiful weddings I want to share!

I thought a fitting shoot to get my posts rolling again is a family shoot with my cousin, Lisa. We met up in Laguna on her birthday, which was perfect because I’m horrible at getting birthday cards out on time. It was nice to actually give someone their card on the actual birthday! I love spending time with family and my second cousins are definitely the most entertaining.

Meet Alessandra, Sofia and Nico.

Lisa and Dennis have been married for 12ish years… I think, if I remember right.

Alessandra is the oldest and such a sweet, patient big sis! Sofia is the middle child and reminds me of me… petite, full of personality and loves to be the center of attention. The youngest is Nico and he had me laughing the whole time! He has a sweet innocence that I hope he keeps for a long time!

In case they start a rock band…

We headed to the beach for a few more shots…

We has an issue with a wave when we were on the rocks hence the super sandy jeans.

Avery Turns One!

Avery turned one this past weekend and we did her shoot a few weeks ago. Her first shoot with me she was full of smiles and loved the camera. This time was no different…. well, maybe a few less smiles but it was quite chilly outside! She did an awesome job and even got to taste cake for the first time. Turns out she’s not really a fan of strawberry icing. =)

Her adorable expressions speak for themselves, therefore, no captions needed!

Yes, she really is holding up one finger for turning one. Smart little girl!

Of course we did a few for the Christmas cards too!

I have so much I want to share on the blog and I’m hoping to catch up soon!

I met Maggie a few weeks ago and we did her shoot in Laguna, ending at the beach. I love all of the “fieldy” areas, especially right after some rain when the green grass starts growing! Maggie was such a sweetheart and was full of smiles and personality. Here are some of my faves…

Laguna Beach Family Photography :: The Valentino Family

I spent a lot of time at the beach last weekend and I got to hang out with some really cool families! The V. Fam moved here recently from Michigan. I’m thinking sunny, warm beach photos are not the norm for holiday photos in Michigan. =) I’m pretty sure all their family and friends are going to be jealous!

Jack was such a good sport, letting us put him in the bucket and almost floating away at one point. =)

Michael might be smiling on the outside but on the inside I’m pretty sure he was crying over the Ohio State win. (Sorry, my mom raised me as a Buckeye.. I had to mention it) =)

Jack almost floated away in the first shot but back to smiles in the second one. =)

So cute! I love the two bottom teeth!

I first met Mary and Andy at their maternity shoot. I can’t believe little Ameilja is already 6 month old! I’ve enjoyed seeing them grow as a family and always have so much fun with them! We headed down to Laguna to take advantage of the pretty green grass and the beautiful beaches…

These make me smile =)

Addison Turns One!

Addison will be turning one very soon! I’m pretty sure she is ready for her party… especially since she gets to wear an adorable tutu! We headed to Laguna for some fun family shots and some of the birthday girl!

I first met Addison when she was about 2 weeks old…

She’s grown up so much!!

I love this field I found! A little bit of rain= a ton of green grass!

The expression on the right has to be one of the cutest faces ever!

Addison has the prettiest blue eyes and the way the sun was hitting them made them sparkle!

We did a few shots at Hotel Laguna, where Addison’s parents got married. On the right, a pouty crying face. Photo shoots are tough work. =)

Madeline :: On the Move in Laguna!

This past weekend on got to meet with 14 month old Madeline. Last time we did a shoot she was 8 months old and very close to walking. Well now, she is unstoppable! She loves to walk, and walk, and walk. We’re not talking a stroll here, she is on the move!

Madeline was very popular. Between her being totally adorable and her cute walk, she is quite a site to see!

Honestly, I have no idea how I got this shot. I think she was still for about 5 seconds, posed and then kept moving. =)

She was having so much fun exploring Laguna!

We headed to the beach for a few more shots before sunset. This was on the way down the stairs… I think I loved it more than the beach. =)

Am I too old to have jeans with hearts because I think these are completely adorable!

Rocking chair in the sand… why not!

Turns out sand will slow Madeline down. She wasn’t loving the sand between the toes…

Best solution to not loving the sand… a bucket and a book!

On Saturday I met the sweetest family! Veronica, Cal, Jeremy, Hadowas, and Sofia came ready for some fun shooting on the beach. I love shooting in Laguna because of all the pretty rocks. Sometimes I get bored with just an ocean so I need some rocks to keep it exciting! It was a perfect day, not too cold, not too hot. The sun was shining and the kids were smiling. Hadowas and Jeremy had fun climbing the rocks and looking for little crabs. Sofia enjoyed discovering sand for the first time! Here are a few fun shots…
