Leo Turns One!

This was Leo’s third shoot with me and I always look forward to them! First, he just keeps getting cuter. Second, he is always full of smiles! I’m so excited to be shooting his birthday party in a few weeks!

Cordelia Turns One!

I love seeing little ones grow up! The last time I saw Cordelia was at her baptism when she was about three months old! She is now a very talktive, adorable one year old! She talked the entire time… it was the cutest thing! Her shoot was suppose to be on Sunday but with cloudy skies and rain showers, we decided to wait until Monday morning. I’m so glad we waited! If you follow me on Facebook you probably notice I’m always up late so I rarely see the pretty early morning light. =) Between the dew on the grass, the fog rising up and the beautiful sunshine, it could not have been more perfect!

Avery Turns One!

Avery turned one this past weekend and we did her shoot a few weeks ago. Her first shoot with me she was full of smiles and loved the camera. This time was no different…. well, maybe a few less smiles but it was quite chilly outside! She did an awesome job and even got to taste cake for the first time. Turns out she’s not really a fan of strawberry icing. =)

Her adorable expressions speak for themselves, therefore, no captions needed!

Yes, she really is holding up one finger for turning one. Smart little girl!

Of course we did a few for the Christmas cards too!

I have so much I want to share on the blog and I’m hoping to catch up soon!

I met Maggie a few weeks ago and we did her shoot in Laguna, ending at the beach. I love all of the “fieldy” areas, especially right after some rain when the green grass starts growing! Maggie was such a sweetheart and was full of smiles and personality. Here are some of my faves…

Laguna Beach Family Photography :: The Valentino Family

I spent a lot of time at the beach last weekend and I got to hang out with some really cool families! The V. Fam moved here recently from Michigan. I’m thinking sunny, warm beach photos are not the norm for holiday photos in Michigan. =) I’m pretty sure all their family and friends are going to be jealous!

Jack was such a good sport, letting us put him in the bucket and almost floating away at one point. =)

Michael might be smiling on the outside but on the inside I’m pretty sure he was crying over the Ohio State win. (Sorry, my mom raised me as a Buckeye.. I had to mention it) =)

Jack almost floated away in the first shot but back to smiles in the second one. =)

So cute! I love the two bottom teeth!

I first met Mary and Andy at their maternity shoot. I can’t believe little Ameilja is already 6 month old! I’ve enjoyed seeing them grow as a family and always have so much fun with them! We headed down to Laguna to take advantage of the pretty green grass and the beautiful beaches…

These make me smile =)

Addison Turns One!

Addison will be turning one very soon! I’m pretty sure she is ready for her party… especially since she gets to wear an adorable tutu! We headed to Laguna for some fun family shots and some of the birthday girl!

I first met Addison when she was about 2 weeks old…

She’s grown up so much!!

I love this field I found! A little bit of rain= a ton of green grass!

The expression on the right has to be one of the cutest faces ever!

Addison has the prettiest blue eyes and the way the sun was hitting them made them sparkle!

We did a few shots at Hotel Laguna, where Addison’s parents got married. On the right, a pouty crying face. Photo shoots are tough work. =)

Madeline :: On the Move in Laguna!

This past weekend on got to meet with 14 month old Madeline. Last time we did a shoot she was 8 months old and very close to walking. Well now, she is unstoppable! She loves to walk, and walk, and walk. We’re not talking a stroll here, she is on the move!

Madeline was very popular. Between her being totally adorable and her cute walk, she is quite a site to see!

Honestly, I have no idea how I got this shot. I think she was still for about 5 seconds, posed and then kept moving. =)

She was having so much fun exploring Laguna!

We headed to the beach for a few more shots before sunset. This was on the way down the stairs… I think I loved it more than the beach. =)

Am I too old to have jeans with hearts because I think these are completely adorable!

Rocking chair in the sand… why not!

Turns out sand will slow Madeline down. She wasn’t loving the sand between the toes…

Best solution to not loving the sand… a bucket and a book!

Audrey is One!!

I first met Audrey when she was an itty bitty newborn. I can’t believe she is already one year old! It’s fun to see them grow, to see their personality develop. She is her own little person now with her own likes and dislikes. I found that she dislikes sand and grass but really likes Sprinkles cupcakes!

Audrey likes everything at the beach except for the sand and water. =)

I’m finding that Sophie, the teething giraffe, is a popular toy! The kids like it and it actually works!

Audrey wasn’t sure about her Sprinkle’s cupcake…

As soon as she tried some of the frosting, the sugar high began!

I wish this photo had audio! Her giggles were sooooo cute!

Dominic Turns One!

I first met Dominic when he was 6 months old. Today is his official first birthday! Happy birthday Dominic! One thing I love about my job is seeing the kids grow up! Six months makes so a huge difference in baby months! He is so much bigger! He loves to point at things, stick out his tongue and give high fives. I think Dominic’s favorite part of the shoot was digging into his very own cake! Since we did the shoot on V-day, his mom could only find pink cakes but I’m pretty sure it didn’t bother Dominic in the least…

He first discovered the candle, it was pretty fun…

But then, with a little help from mom, he discovered the deliciousness of his very own raspberry cake!

And he loved it!

After cleaning up we went for a little hike. Love the little rocking chair… one of my thrift store finds!
