I figured I would stick with the twin theme and share a fun shoot I did right before Father’s Day. Max and Taylor’s mom, Karyn, thought it would be a great Father’s Day gift to get new photos of the kids and to actually get a few that included her! So often I hear moms says they are always taking the pictures and never in them. Hiring a photographer is definitely a way to solve that problem.
We headed to Veteran’s Memorial Park in Redondo Beach. It was a special location because Karyn and her husband married at the historic library located in the park!
Doing a shoot with one two year old can be challenging so I wasn’t sure how it would go with two, two year olds! For most two year old shoots, I am chasing them around, playing and photographing all at the same time. I can usually get a few posed smiling photos but they tend to last longer and I get more fun shots if it’s more of a “playdate” than a photoshoot.
This usually works great but when there are two of them going different directions, it makes it challenging, but a super fun a rewarding challenge! Max and Taylor have unique personalities and they both wanted to do their own thing. I enjoyed getting to know both of them (along with mom) and I still can’t get over how gorgeous their hair is!!
Max wanted to go back to the swings but we were looking for a change of scenery. Don’t worry, he was fine a few minutes later. ![]()

Max was very happy when he was able to climb!

My brother is a year older than me and I know we had many moments like this. ![]()
