It’s never too late for an engagement shoot… even if the wedding is in two days! Yesterday I met with Lauren and John for a quick enagement session which also works really well as a “dress rehearsal” for their wedding on Saturday. I really like to do engagement sessions with my wedding couples because they get to know me, my style of shooting and they will feel more comfortable with me on their wedding day. It’s a great way to get to know each other in a relaxed setting AND get some great photos!
Since John and Lauren were in Boston for school we weren’t able to meet up until yesterday. I hadn’t seen Lauren in almost a year… although through the power of Facebook I feel like I’ve gotten to know her and hear the details of the wedding planning. =) This was the first time I met John and see them together as a couple. I knew I was excited about their wedding before seeing them together but now I can’t wait (only one more day)!! They are so sweet together and so in love…
I met John and Lauren at Lauren’s parents’ house as they were getting ready for a big family dinner. I figured it was be nice for them to escape for a little while so we headed to a nearby park.

There were tons of pretty trees, green grass and a creek but I loved this shack right in the middle of it all. =)

She’s going to be a gorgeous bride!

If you’re wondering if there is a light at the end of the tunnel… there is. =) Another random find at the park!

We headed back to the parent’s house for a few more shots. Lauren’s mom has a beautiful garden in the yard. I’m pretty sure I was stepping in the herb garden to get this shot! Don’t worry, I wasn’t steeping on any herbs. =)
