In Front of the Camera!

Wait, does something look different around here? Did you notice the new blog look? What do you think? Since I won a free year of Showit Sites (thanks to all your votes), I decided to completely revamp the website and blog! It’s kind of a work in progress so you might see some changes along the way but for now I’m loving the new color! So, with a new blog and website comes new headshots of course!

Last weekend when my roommate, Amber, and I headed to Santa Barbara, I was really hoping we would have time for her to take some shots of me. Amber does a great job of composing shots and she has recently learned how to shoot manually. It works out great, she shoots me and I get to edit them! One thing I’ve learned is that I’m not easy to work with when I’m in front of the camera. =) I’m super critical of what I look like and rarely like the results but I think we got a few good ones this time! We had about 10 minutes before the couple I was going to shoot arrived. Here are some that I liked (all shot by Amber and edited by me)…

The one on the left is my favorite! I had fun with the editing on these, all with a different look!

I like my headband. =)

I think I look like a total nerd in this one, but I love the setting. It reminds me of Twilight! Not that I’m a fan or anything. =) Seriously, I’m not hardcore… I only read the books once but I love the setting and the story! I feel like this could be another full post so I’ll leave it at that. =)

And this is Amber! The day before we left I wanted to shoot around the house… to expand my creativity. =) After some shooting in the pantry, I found a blanket (used as the backdrop) and this is the result…

Saturday was suppose to be a rainy day but we totally lucked out! The last part of the drive was gorgeous!
