Scott and Teresa :: Fullerton Arboretum Wedding

When I booked Scott and Teresa’s wedding I hadn’t shot any weddings yet and I have to be honest… I was a little nervous. Scott is a photographer and the fact that he would hire me without seeing my wedding work meant he saw something in my work that made him believe I would do a good job with their wedding.

Scott and Teresa were my last wedding of the year and after seeing their location I was SO excited to end the year with their wedding! The nerves were gone and my creative wheels starting turning. Everything about their wedding was beautiful and centered around nature, which I love! Although the Fullerton Arboretum is located on the Cal State Fullerton Campus, you feel like you are way out in the middle of a forest, or desert or rose garden. I loved the options we had for portraits!

So I guess I should share some of the photos instead of trying to describe everything…

Meet Teresa and Scott… ready right on time so we had plenty of time for portraits!

Teresa got to get ready in an old house that is in the middle of the Arboretum. I’m sure there is a lot of history to it and if you’d like to find out more, check out the Fullerton Arboretum website. The shoes!!! I loved her shoes! Every time she would start walking a little bit of blue would peak out… so cute!

At the back of the house was a clothes line. How could I resist!

Such pretty flowers!

Love the touches of nature with the rocks and moss

Teresa was ready to go before her bridesmaids and wanted to head out for some portraits. She had to have been the most prepared and relaxed brides I’ve worked with. I’m sure it helps that Scott is a photographer!

Gorgeous! The dress and the bride!!

I love this photo! After taking some shots in the “deserty” area we were heading back and we took a few shots. This is my favorite!

The girls were so fun!

Scott was so adorable when he first saw Teresa (sorry Scott, I know you probably don’t want to be described as adorable). He was giddy with excitement and could not stop smiling.

Teresa was pretty excited too!

Such a serene location for their ceremony

My favorite ceremony shot!

This wins for best first kiss of the year!

I love the “not so formal” formals. When you are working with two year olds you never know what you are going to get!

If you are one of my Facebook fans, you’ve seen this one. My absolute favorite shot of the day!

It actually, kind of, looks like fall!

They are so cute together… so very in love!

He completely adores her!

First dance at sunset= perfection!

Some fun with the money dance

This little cutie enjoyed having his photo taken (or looking at them on the camera screen) and followed me around most of the night. When he wasn’t following me he was hanging out with some of the ladies. =)

Dancing until the end, Scott and Teresa had an amazing wedding!
