I was so excited when Amanda contacted me for a trash the dress shoot! I met Chad and Amanda when they were engaged and shot their engagement session. They had already hired a wedding photographer in Illinois where they were getting married so I had mentioned to Amanda that we should do a trash the dress after the wedding. I’m so glad she was up for it!
Chad and Amanda are such a fun couple… so in love. I love working with them and can’t wait for our next shoot! Hmm, what else can we come up with? =)
Before the dress was completely trashed we did some nice shots because they weren’t totally in love with their wedding photos. AND it never hurts to have more photos dressed up looking pretty!
This is one of my favorite “nature” spots to shoot… mainly because I don’t have to hike through weeds, dirt and brush to get to it! Also, I made the bouquet! It’s not amazing but I was proud of myself since I made it without knowing what I was doing.
The second location does require some hiking through prickly weeds but it was totally worth it! Sadly, they tore down all the dead trees a few weeks after the shoot. No more dead orange grove. =(

Lastly, we headed to the beach. Although you don’t have to completely trash your dress, Amanda was up for it since hers was from Ebay and not the actual wedding dress.
Chad was not as into the trashing of clothes but I’m pretty sure he enjoyed watching Amanda trash the dress.
