Last weekend I was lucky enough to shoot Fredrick and Patricia’s wedding. Since this is my first wedding season, each wedding brings something new to my shooting. This wedding was my first church wedding, and what a beautiful church it was! It was over 100 years old with beautiful stained glass windows and tons of natural light shining through. The reception was at the Monterey Hill Restaurant in the Grand Ballroom.
I had a ton of fun shooting Fredrick and Patricia’s wedding and was particularly thankful for my third shooter, Patricia’s 8 year old son, Roman. I brought my Rebel so he could help out at the reception and he did a great job! Also, I don’t know what I would have done without my second shooter Tanya. Her work is gorgeous and she was so much fun to work with! Enough intro, lets get to the photos!
Love the pink shoes!

Thanks to Tanya for getting this shot of Fredrick getting ready. Patricia and her maid of honor, Lynn both had their make-up done by Erin Amilibia. She did a beautiful job and was so sweet! She can be reached at eamilibia7@hotmail.com
I love the look on Patricia’s face the first time she saw herself in her dress.

Roman looked so handsome in his tux!

Patricia’s neighbors were nice enough to let us take some shots in their beautiful home. It was built in the 20′s and they have designed the home to fit the era of the house. Every where I looked there were beautiful details.

The light in the church was AMAZING!

I love Patricia’s expression here and Roman was so excited to walk her down the aisle.

Such a pretty church!

Her bouquet was huge and so pretty!

I think this was my favorite part of the day! They had vintage Chevys and I got to ride in the front seat to get some cool shots! As we were driving people were honking their horns and waving… so fun!

Formal shots can be fun!

The first dance

Patricia and Fredrick had told me at our first meeting that it was important to get the shot of them toasting with their forks before they eat. It has been their tradition from the start and I love that I could capture this moment… first time toasting as husband and wife.

The toast (first shot), it was funny (second shot). If I didn’t put these captions, you would have no idea what was going on. =)

Pretty cake and notice the cool lighting in the ballroom!

The cutting of the yummy cake (it really was!) follwed by my 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th 8th, 9th and tenth shooters. =)

Seriously, Roman was awesome! He saw me standing on chairs and shooting over my head so being the quick learner that he is, he did the same. AND, is he not the best dressed photographer you’ve ever seen!

Dancing went all night! The DJ and host of Elegance Elegancia did a great job keeping the party going. They also did the sweet lighting!
