I’ve noticed on my past blog I always say one of two thing… “I’m so behind on blogging” or “I had SO much fun with _____”. Both are still true in this case!
Brian and Charmaine are such a special couple to me. I met them back in December and they were my first bride/groom meeting. I thought they were awesome and was hoping they would go with me. They knew their wedding would be my first and I was hoping they would trust me with such a special day. Sure enough Brian and Charmaine did decide to go with me and they were excited that they were going to be a part of my start into wedding photography.
Remember the engagement shoot at an elementary school? Yep, it’s them! Brian and Charmaine met in elementary school. Little did Brian know that Charmaine had a crush on him. He never found out and they both moved on. Years later they were reunited and have been together since. When you see them together you know they were supposed to be together. They are so sweet and loving with each other, their family and friends. I really could go on and on about how perfect they are for each other, how much fun they were to work with and well, just how amazing they are but I’ll stop for now. =)
This is part one of three… details and getting ready. Everything was held at a beautiful home in the Hollywood Hills. Tigerlily and Andy were kind enough to open up their home for the day. In the front yard, the Hollywood sign (the real one!) and from the backyard you could see Lake Hollywood. Brian and Charmaine stuck with the “school” theme for the decor, including a sack lunch for the wedding favors! Here are a few of my favorites…
The ring pillows were old school books… this is just the start! So many more cute details!
Table center pieces… love the table numbering system!
Love the menu!
The water bottles say “Detention Hall Ale”. Love it!
The flowers were put together by her friend Serena who used a combo of her own garden flowers and some from Trader Joe’s.
Under the Chuppah
Beautiful dress… that later ended up soaking wet!
Maid of Honor, Brittany, writing her toast.
Love this moment
On every shoot I try to sneak into one photo, somehow. Can you find me? Don’t you love my headband? =)
A moment of calm before the ceremony
A moment of excitement before the ceremony
One last Twitter before getting married!
